it looks like another planet doesn't it!especially for me at the moment, living in the concrete jungle. I like the macro effect in the first photo, when the foreground and background just become a blur - really draws the eye in to the point of focus :)

Yes, it's Cup Lichen of the Cladonia family. This one is 'fimbriata', distinguished by the greygreen powdery 'soredia' on the cup and stem. "The Prof."
