See Ruth? See the main Usher - Sandy Proctor with his back to the camera and wearing sunglasses! He's behind the lamp-post - pity you can't see him in full regalia! He had to chauffeur the bride and groom!
The church was packed - we were at the back alongside Adam Alice and Ivan. McIanto has pictures of them (The Lewis Family) on his blog. The sun shone all day.
We were actually in Glasgow attending a concert - Rachmaninov's 3rd piano concerto - the pianist was a wonderful Argentinian musician - Nelson Goerner - best pianist I've ever heard, and I've heard a few in my day.
It was fun being in the Square and able to join in the Festive Spirit.
I think Dad was remembering the Mac's stage band of bygone days? The band consisted of 5 first year students out to make a bit of money. Mathew's saxophone playing - when he used to play - would have knocked spots off their performance - but they did their best, and provided good entertainment.
Our outings to Benmore and along Shore Road continue - as you see, the garden has lost most of its striking colours ... and Satpin and his friend sit silently in the light of the moon. Figure out how I took that photo! Can you see Dad in the distance behind Grandma - Golden Gates missing! Only the pillars remain.
When we arrived, Aunt Isobel was enjoying a bourbon biscuit with her cup of tea. As you see, the new place is quite modern - inside was fresh and tasteful. I think it was the special cake that we took for her that got her mouth into a strange pose. She was in good spirits in spite of things - like buzzers constantly going off!!
We walked along this bit of shore line today and wanted to show you Jim Crow with his new face-lift and the mist/fog that was today's weather feature along with blue skies and sunshine.
